I Will Shout His Name from the Rooftops
People talk a lot about what they are passionate about. I talk about God.
He is the reason I live and move and have my being. I will not be silent—not because I am seeking a great reward in heaven, but because I have found something the world cannot give me, and the world cannot take away.
I have found Jesus.
And I want everyone to know the Christ I have come to know.
I began falling in love with Jesus when I was seven years old, and at the age of eight, I asked Him to come into my heart. I remember that moment as if it were yesterday. I am now seventy years old, and I have never regretted the decision I made at eight years old to live the rest of my life for Him.
Have I always gotten it right? No.
There have been many times when I have messed up and made poor choices. I am not—and I have never claimed to be—perfect. But I know One who is.
He is a forgiving God. He is a loving God. And through all seventy years of my life, I can truly say that He has been faithful.
His grace has always been sufficient for me.
More than anything, I want people to know my Jesus and come to the realization of just how deeply He loves them. That is why I will shout His name from the rooftops.
I honestly do not know how I would have made it through this life without Him.
I am not trying to shove my faith down anyone’s throat. I am simply sharing the greatest news I have ever known with everyone I meet.
Jesus has changed my life.
He has carried me when I could not carry myself. He has forgiven me when I failed. He has loved me when I did not deserve it. He has been faithful through every season.
And I cannot keep quiet about that.
I never want to stand before the Lord and hear someone say, “Why didn’t you tell me?”
That would be one of the saddest days of my life.
So as long as I have breath, I will talk about Jesus. I will tell people about His love, His grace, His forgiveness, and His faithfulness.
Because I have found something the world cannot give and the world cannot take away.
I have found Jesus.
And I want everyone to know Him, too.

Home for me is in Nebraska, where I live with my husband. Together, we are blessed with two grown daughters and twelve wonderful grandchildren.
My life’s mission is to see the body of Christ awakened to the voice of God, healed by His love, and walking in the authority of who they are in Him.
